Little joe,

It is the public duty of elections officials to impartially oversee elections, and I believe in letting them do that. The actions of the Washington state canvassing boards seem to have been accepted without question by both sides.

Part of my anger with the circus in Florida is that the Republicans whipped up the idea that no Democratic election official could be trusted to do his duty. They said over and over again, "they're casting votes, not counting votes!", even though the process was open, observers from both parties were present, and no reporter confirmed open partisanship, though admittedly standards differed and Palm Beach county was a mess. I don't think it's patriotic to destroy public confidence in a whole class of public officials without evidence, just for political gain.
