Pat, PMCS cites NT, CSCO, JNPR, Lucent as all slowing orders but the question is .....Is PMCS's data a lagging or leading indicator?
I believe it is lagging and reflects what NT, CSCO went through in October to December. Cisco must have told PMCS don't ship to us until we are ready. What happens...PMCS gets stuck with the inventory.

I was surprised by JNPR being on the list and that is what makes me think there is more than inventory issue. Could there be serious competitive pressures being faced by PMCS. I could have bought the NT, CSCO slowdown case they presented but not JNPR--which just increased guidance for this year. That makes me think it is more than inventory. The fact that Cisco and others can cancel the order puts PMCS in a tough spot especially if there are others have alternate suppliers. The mentioned how these customers could just cancel the orders altogether----i guess the big companies can dictate what the smaller companies like PMCS must do.
