But I don't think GWB was "trying to discredit and delegitimize the idea of manual recounts". He was trying to discredit and delegitimize the VERY illegitimate Al Gore and his lawyers views of recounts. Al attacked with a vengence when the vote was close. GWB was defending his win. That most democrats can't see this amazes me and makes me question their integrity. I don't believe that GWB attacked any recounts at all when they were initially done per state law. Correct me if I am wrong. Scott
