Interesting piece in the WSJ this morning about wind power. It's cheaper now than gas-fired electric generation (even at lower gas prices).

Who manufactures these things? It wasn't clear in the article--just who was setting up the wind farms.

I can imagine Kansas completely covered with wind generators, myself. In the old story, repeated in Walter Prescott Webb's book "The Great Plains," the newcomer from the East asks, "Does the wind blow like like all the time?"

A cowboy nearby says, "Wall, it'll blow along and blow along like that for a few days and sometimes it picks up and just blows like hell!"
