Where are you boarding.......I live here in the east, so this is where I spend most of my time on the slopes, but I do try and get out west as often as possible........if your heading to wv or nc, you will be disappointed...nothing like out west. If your heading to the more northern slopes it is far, far better. The biggest differance between west and east is moisture......west is very dry...light, fluffy "dry powder"...can be very cold, but does not feel as cold. In the east....southeast is groomed ice basically, or slush. Temperature wise, the humidity makes it feel far, far colder. Up north, same thing, it will feel far colder, but at least you have decent conditions...powder yes, but more icy powder, not as dry as out west.

Where you heading?
