OT: Jerry,

Maybe you should teach ya boy about the word "filibuster".

If you care to recall, in '92 Clinton had bigger majorities
in both the House and Senate, but that didn't help him with
many of his initiatives especially health care.

Considering Lott has already split power in the Senate with
equal numbers on committees, your boy Debby’s gonna have to
be even more conciliatory to fulfill his campaign rhetoric.
In two years, if Bush hasn't gotten anything done if he
isn't to being "bipartisan", don't expect to hold onto
either branch of Congress, especially since the party in
power typically loses more seats and the Republicans
have more Senators up for re-election.

Fortunately, I don't even think Dubya is as dumb as that
post, you posted. Matter of fact, aside from Ashcroft,
think Dubya did a good job of picking moderate non-
ideologues with a ton of experience for cabinets positions
and for his VP. Seems like he takes his business degree
seriously, while realizing his limitations so that his
administration will be run like his acceptance speech was
written for him at the Republican Convention last year.
Dubya’s speech was written by 17 people. Dubya’s gonna be
the spokesman, chairman of the board, let other deal with
the details......while he tries to be the bully from his
pulpit elected without the popular majority of the vote,
and under circumstances that further undermine his
legitimacy....NOT really much of a "mandate".
Not even Greenspan agrees with his tax ideas.....

So we shall see....

Plus Jeb looks like he may have some real problems
in'92 getting himself re-elected. Moreover with term
limits on Governors in PA, and NJ (even before Christie
went to the EPA),and with Pataki trying to be more
moderate, there's a high likelihood that NJ, PA, NY,
and Fl will go to the dem side of the gubernortial column,
especially since in PA, and NJ, the stronger candidates
on the dem's side with Casey, Rendell, and Mcgready(sp?).
Should be an interesting two years, without much of a
honeymoon (can you say Linda Chavez).

btw get my "pictures"?
