Ramsey,

<< Could Nokia simply spin off the entire CDMA business to Telson? >>

I doubt they will do that.

Most comprehensive article on this that I have seen is here:

<< Could Nokia save face and not sign a QC license? >>

I think NOK will have to sign a Q license ... wish they would get on with it.

I have not heard the CC yet. Was this brought up?

<< Could Nokia save face and not buy QC chipsets, just let Telson do it? >>

I'm now guessing Nokia will not buy QC chipsets.

Right now their major immediate obstacle is getting SMS to work with 5185i at Verizon. Problems seem to be with the CDMA AMPS handoff. I think someone here determined that the 5185i chipset is not QC and indicators are that it is their own. The 5185i is not WAP enabled, but evidently 6185i will be (if they clear the 5185i hurdle).
