tim...as long as you stay with companies that have good/bad news behind them, and they tend to move not excessively with the market, the risk is much lower then trying to play a pure momentum issue.....i've been in and out of xlnx recently taking 1-4 points at a time...closed at 58 3/8 two days ago, re purchased at 56.75...tried to sell at 58, but it only reached 57 15/16....rode it down this morning, still holding 5k shares...but not worried, as it is the type of stock i like to own.....i would have taken my loss or hedged with cc's if it broke through 49 on volume, which would have violated its recent up trend....

time to buy high growth/low pe with good balance sheets...even dell looks good at these levels...but yet not good at 17!!!!!.......better to wait for a reversal at times!!!

good luck
