A cash distribution in the amount of 65 cents per unit will be payable on

Feb. 20, 2001, to all unitholders of record at the close of business on
Feb. 10, 2001. This distribution consists of the monthly cash distribution
amount of 35 cents and a supplemental adjustment of 30 cents per unit.
Total distributions in respect of the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31, 2000,
total to $1.45 per unit, reflecting the continued strength in oil and gas
prices.
Enerplus Resources' new trailing 12-month distributions paid totals $4.97
per unit.
