>> Will NTAP meet earnings and revenue expectations on Feb. 13?
I'm very confident that they will beat earnings by .01 and post yoy top line growth in the range of 100%. The enterprise is in good shape. Note that ntap's earnings will be issued on 2/8, which means you have 5 fewer days to worry.
>> Is NTAP a broken stock, one not likely to recover anytime soon?
Sounds to me like you've been hanging with Bambs, Chic, and Monty too long, Tulvio <lol>. That's trader talk, and from what I know about you, you're an investor. Being battered by huge waves of volatility is simply a part of the cost of ownership of ntap, but the rewards over any reasonable period have been outstanding. If you don't have a cast iron stomach and a long term investment window, this is not the stock for you. Imo, there is no fundamental reason that ntap can't be back in 3 figures within a quarter or two, provided we have a reasonable market.
>> Seems to me NTAP is losing battle to EMC
We must be looking at different metrics; I see it the other way.
>> Am undecided on whether to sell now or wait 'til after earnings.
Well at least you know when earnings are now. It sounds like you've already made up your mind to sell, and are trying to get info to time your exit. Sorry, but I can't help you there; I've got a GorillaGrip on this baby.
