Niceguy,

a little update from time to time...

Processor top 10 bestseller list of KME of January 26:

1 AMD ATHLON K7 1000 Thunderbird (=number 2 on the general top 10 list)
2 AMD ATHLON K7 800 Thunderbird (number 3 on the general list)
3 AMD DURON 800 (number 10 on the general list)
4 AMD ATHLON K7 1200 Thunderbird
5 AMD DURON 700
6 AMD K6-2 500
7 AMD ATHLON K7 900 Thunderbird
8 AMD K6-2 550
9 IBM/CYRIX 6x86 MX PR300 233 MHz
10 AMD ATHLON K7 700 Thunderbird SLOT-A

Their new product of today is the ELITEGROUP K7VZA socket-A motherboard for Athlon/Duron up to 1.5GHz. It's a fairly standard mobo with the old KT133 chipset, but for an _incredibly_ low price. It is even much cheaper than the GIGABYTE GA-7IXE4 socket-A mobo with AMD's old Irongate chip or K&M's own brand socket-A motherboard.

In my eyes, this new board might be just ideal for building a really cheap but powerful Athlon or Duron system without having to deal with integrated graphics. I think that the arrival of such a cheap but fully featured socket-A board is pretty good news.
