The problem is none of those links show anything that Bush has actually done, or even signed into law. All of the improvements discussed grew out of changes suggested by the Perot commission.

These types of arguments will never be settled. There is not really any point in arguing them. One side will say Clinton is the source of all the good with economy, the other side will say that the changes in the 80s prepared the economy for the growth, or that it was the Republican Congress.

The same thing about the deficit and surplus. Deficit = Democrat spending in the Congress, Surplus = Republicans controlling the purse strings in Congress (or you can go with the presidents at the time, based on your point of view.

This doesn't get anyone anywhere, and if you really get into the argument, it will just leave you bitter.
