ML: Those who know what's the objective here will have no difficulty in understanding the "help" NOKIA sought from IDCC. While there may turn out to be secondary dividends (eg., circumventing Q's self-reported lock, etc.), the primary reason for the partnership with IDCC was to be first to market in the race for 3G market. I expect to see confirmation from NOKIA, for they are of the culture that they report success, after it has happened.
