Dan,

You have raised a good point. AMD has become the conservative vendor. Intel has released a lot of garbage the last couple of years, and at some point the imagery will set into the subconscious of the business sector.

Having said that, my 667MHz PIII is a much faster machine than my GHz Athlon. Investing in a fast disk is more important than investing in a fast CPU these days.
