Re: my 667MHz PIII is a much faster machine

Seriously? Or are you kidding, again?

If you aren't kidding, have you considered adding a new C drive for the Athlon? Doing a fresh OS install is something of a pain, but it can be nice to have two physical drives in a home machine. If you do get a fast drive for the Athlon, be sure to run the OS off the faster drive.

With two physical drives, it becomes very convenient to keep a backup copy of important files on the other physical drive in case something happens to the primary disk. If you have networked your machines, this isn't needed (just use other machine's drives).

Regards,

Dan

PS - If your home setup is already running a networked DLT autoloader or something, please disregard the above!
