re: The appeal of digital cameras is the link to the net, easy to share images with friends. You can do that very easily as well with non digital cameras---just drop your pictures off at the grocery store (or anyplace that develops film) and check the box marked "Kodak Picture Disk", or, if you are on AOL, check the box marked "You've Got Pictures". I don't have a digital camera yet, but I thought the main appeal was that you could preview pictures more easily, look at your pictures instantly and shoot over the top of bad pictures.
