Friday January 26 8:24 PM ET CBS to Show Panoramic Replays During Super Bowl
NEW YORK (Reuters) - CBS will debut an intricate instant replay system during the Super Bowl on Sunday that offers a movie-like, panoramic view of the action on the field.
CBS, a unit of Viacom Inc., will control 33 cameras posted around the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida that will move in tandem, allowing for 270-degree views of football plays with a three-dimensional effect.
The system, named EyeVision, was developed by CBS Sports and Princeton Video Image Inc., whose computer-generated advertisements have been featured during television broadcasts of baseball games, car racing competitions, and the CBS Early Show. |
