But it is already a disaster. Somewhere today I read that life expectancy for black men in SA has fallen to 36 years. That does sound on the low side but the impact of AIDS there will be just as catastrophic there as in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana etc. As a foreign investor I would certainly choose Mexico or Thailand etc. as a place to invest in fixed assets. These are comparable economies.
