wouldn't CLINTON/DEMs prefer that the ECO drags after he's gone from office to give the appearance that they were in fact responsible for the robust last few years. Nothing would be better to insure a DEM 2004 win than a nice 3-4 year recession..starting NOW

CLinton's eco success was based largely on Reagan efforts that finally came home..IMO
