Actually, there was a process by which she was screened.
I can't say why she isn't married without sounding cruel or shallow. It is obvious to me why she isn't - but it isn't "fair". People (including myself) are so superficial in 3D. Men are just hardwired to first consider a woman they see in terms of being a potential sex partner. Then the rest of the brain catches up! Fortunately, I'd written to her for several years in a professional capacity and discovered this inner beauty. My high brain functions had something to hold on to.
We men are such dogs in that way. I know most of my men friends (nice guys really) are this way. That doesn't make us bad, just homo sapiens males. One of the great things about the internet is that it cuts through the superficiality and in many ways is androgenous. The person you are talking with could be crippled, athletic, male, female, beautiful, ugly, fat, anemic, hairless, hirsute, wizened, and not one of these things affects the relationship. But this anonymity has a dark side too.
People in person are always first judged by appearance. |
