Blanket legalization would probably not be very practical, but there are intermediate steps that would be. Legalizing marijuana and its derivatives would allow a huge chunk of enforcement money to be diverted to larger problems

I dont know much about the time when states did legalize pot
me thinks AK and OR did. How was that handled?
Walk down the street with a doobie?
Any criteria for getting children high in a home that it was permitted?
(ever get your dog high) as an example.
Its not like a beer where its physically isolated within a container or the individual consuming it. And drinking laws are harsher and somewhat works (less DUI's).
So make them less restrict also?
I feel the mandatory drug testing (both for employment as well as random) for truckers is a great tool to get rid of those that did and stop those who might. And maybe the highways are a little safer.
I would like mandatory drug testing after each accident like the trucking people have to for everyone. That would also deter and show what each person's state of physical ability was. Think that would make the highways and streets safer too.
Now there are still plenty of idiots around. Just legalizing would make more. (IMHO)
So I'm asking with a sortof half open mind how would you implement legalizing marijuana?
(sorry havent read the other 1000+ posts. No time.

G'day
