Conference Plus Inc. is building a new 41,850-square-foot headquarters at 1051 E. Woodfield Road, in
Three Lakes Business Park in Schaumburg.

The company, a unit of Westell Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:WSTL - news) of Aurora, broke ground in
November. It expects its new home to be complete late this spring.

Conference Plus chose FCL Builders Inc. to construct the office building. The company is a collaborative
application service provider that manages and hosts Internet protocol, audio, video and Web-based
conferencing. It also sells such various back-office services as fax confirmations and billing systems.

Conference Plus has expanded by about 50 percent over the last four years, FCL said, and has become the
fifth-largest company of its kind.

The new single-story building will have a masonry veneer exterior. Inside will be a generator backup and
100 percent fiber-optic cable capability. The telecommunications building will have 9-foot-clear ceilings and
parking for 233 vehicles.

Harris Architects Inc. is the architect for the building's exterior. Interior Design Group Inc. is providing
interior architectural work.

Supervising construction for FCL will be Larry Gamm, project manager; and Nate Peterson, assistant
project manager.

Leases in Buffalo Grove

Handtmann Inc. has expanded into 19,284 square feet at Rogers Centre for Commerce, 1534 Barclay Blvd.
in Buffalo Grove. The company uses the space for light assembly and distribution.

Mark Baumhart of Arthur J. Rogers & Co. represented Handtmann in negotiations. Norman Ross, also of
Rogers, acted for his company, which owns the building.

Aixtron Inc. leased 8,664 square feet at Rogers Centre for Commerce, adding to its existing space. Ross of
Rogers represented both parties in the transaction.

Elk Grove Village lease

National Tool & Manufacturing has leased 7,500 square feet at 520 Bonnie Lane in Elk Grove Village. The
space has 14-foot ceilings and one exterior dock.

Zero Access Inc. signed a 980-square-foot lease at 1510 Midway Court in Elk Grove Village.

Kelly Joyce and Lisa Buncic of Owen Wagener & Co. acted for Zero Access, National Tool &
Manufacturing and both buildings' owners in lease negotiations.
