Hi Eric, my take on Sun SAN Storage....

...has to reconcile the following discrepanices:
1) Sun's total percentage of storage is up from 7.1 to 7.4%
2) Sun's total percentage of SAN storage is down significantly
3) Sun's total percentage of Unix storage is up.

My suspicion is that
1) Sun's is selling more storage into non Unix configurations
2) There is more SAN being sold into non Unix configutations
3) Sun is gaining Unix storage share along with server share.

So basically, Sun is dominating its traditional market, Unix storage,
but Unix storage is becoming a smaller part of total storage. Thus,
one can get conflicting numbers depending on the market chosen.
The important question is to determine the "relevant" market going
forward. Hope this helps.
