<< still waiting on book recommendations>>

FWIW:

I have read and am now re-reading Roth's LEAPS and MacMillan's Options as a Strategic Investment. I found both were worthwhile. I have been trading options, mostly covered calls, for several years on an intuitive basis. I found the texts gave me a firmer grounding in the subject.

Roth is a somewhat lighter read but assumes some familiarity with options, though he does review the basics before launching into the discussion of LEAPS. Mac is very complete (882 pages!), or so it seems to me, but I am not a professional options trader. Both are somewhat dated as the number and volume of options traded has dramatically increased since they were written 8-9 years ago and no one these days pays commissions the size discussed in both books.

I have not read beyond those two so I can't comment further. I think reading both is worthwhile as Roth discusses LEAPS from a different perspective. Both are also useful if I am having trouble getting to sleep at night. (g)
