Ladders are required only to install ceiling fans. Wall switches are OT, remotes are NT. These new technology remotes will not only turn the fan on and off, they will controls speeds and light levels. One day, the forward thinkers among us, like Merlin and Ratan, will live in homes where they won't even be required to move any body part except a finger and thumb. I imagine that one or the other of them, possibly both, is even now hoisting a finger in my direction.
