Re <<B) The moderator is a wuss (no serious offense meant to Mani here!!) and (partly due to A above) has not been willing to take despotic control over this thread.>>

No offence taken! :)

The moderated thread sounded a lot better in theory. It is always easy to say to ban someone if he or she is being ... (not sure what the right term is), but the problem is that there is a very fine line between being rude and being strongly critical of AMD's as a company or as an investment.

A "wuss" or not, it does irritate me when people attack my integrity and accuse me of being nothing but loser with an ego and agenda. Whatever! Heck even people who I liked and used to be friends with like Ted have gotten a lot less...err.. pleasant. In the beginning every said this thread would not last because I would ban everyone and it would only be a cheer leading thread for AMD.

If someone wants to moderate this thread, I would be more than willing to comply, I think it can be done with an email to SI bob. If you think you can make everyone happy with a strong hold hand and keep this thread informative with all opinions welcomed, you are on for a rude awaking.

I may take a vote on what people want to do with the thread.
