Dear Ish: I live in that county and to make matters worse live in that city in that county where so much todo was made of the ballots and the machines. The TRUTH is it is an extremely simple machine to vote on, but unfortunately it is an extremely simple machine to cheat with (ie line up a bunch of ballots in areas believed to vote heavy for one party and run a thin rod through the OTHER candidate to create a DOUBLE vote, negating the card. I believe that happened here, I believe a lot of those "DIMPLES" and "HANGING CHADS" were such a result. I might also add as you have stated NOT ONE REPUBLICAN has had ANYTHING to say about the voting equipment, ballot etc etc. This was an entirely democratic choice. I am HOPEFUL that due to the current UPROAR we will in fact come up with a more cheatproof machine. I seriously doubt any system will be any EASIER for the voter. JDN
