flapjack, While I agree that it is time to move forward, I don't think you reported the damage correctly, or read the wrong account of it. When GHW left office, the only thing that could have been considered vandalism, were a few Bush bumper stickers stuck around. In contrast, when Clinton left office, not only were the W keys pried off of the keyboards, computer and telephone cables were cut, file drawers were glued shut with super glue, as were cabinet doors, inappropriate graffiti was spray painted on the walls, vulgar voice mail answering messages were recorded, and vulgar photos were interspersed with the blank paper in printers, and xerox machines. That would amount to a bit more than $575 but, more importantly, it shows the childish, lawless, attitude of the Clinton White House, in general.
BTW, you can keep the bridge on Chappaquiddick. It's so dangerous that Teddy couldn't even get his "lay for the night" across it. It is tragic that she died, and Ted walked away to remain unpunished for what he did. ~H~ |
