Chinese food: after the big run on Hunan, Sichuan... now there is a run in chinese food: hongkong and taiwanese styles.
It is found that the Hongkong style is more inclined to the seafood and with their preparation almost like cantonese.
Then the taiwanese with their delicious beef stew noodle,
salt pepper shrimp and chicken legg in three spices. BTW, if you are in an authentic chinese restaurant and both owner and waiters do not speak english well and they tell you that they serve buffalo fish: pass on --do NOT try it. It means they serve carp !!! It is very fishy and they keep saying that it is BUFFALO fish and denying it is a carp... My bad experience of buffalo fish - paid $11.95 for
a dozen slices of carp cooked in rice wine !!!
