Haqihana: As much as you'd like to believe otherwise, the Bush people did more in '93 than slap up a few bumper stickers. According to a story this weekend in the Washington Post (a paragraph of which I have quoted below), Clinton staffers in '93 complained that Bush Sr. staffers also sabotaged phones and computers.

Graf from Washington Post story reads:

"A little tomfoolery is typical in transitions between presidents: Clinton administration officials complained bitterly yesterday about numerous "Bush-Quayle" stickers they said they had found plastered on desks when they moved into the White House in 1993. Some maintained that phones and computers had been disabled."

So the bottom line is, this stuff happened in '93 and again in '01. It's just teen-age humor; no doubt everything was back to normal in less than a day. For anyone to believe this $200,000 figure ... that's just ridiculous.
