Who "won" and who is in office is apparently
two different things.

Regardless of the outcome, in lieu of how f*cked up the
process was, the process has to change.

If such gross inaccuracy occurred in Serbia,
we'd disavow the authority of the victor.

This is irrespective of any party
point of view and any flippant and cartoonish use
of the words "liberal" or "conservative".

Life simply isn't a dichotomy.

All the votes should have been counted for
BOTH Gush and Bore. The process should be clear
and simple making it possible for the greatest
and highest participation.

If you read those articles, people who chose
to vote for BOTH candidates didn't have their votes
counted once for a variety of reasons ranging
from unclear language and problems with machines
and ballots.

Gush isn't to blame for this, nor was that
my intention in sharing that article.

But the problems with the process that discard votes
that never got counted isn't what should happen in
a democracy.

You do believe in votes being counted, don't ya?
How would you feel if you cast a vote and it wasn't
counted in a tight election?

You do believe in the democratic process?

Regardless, hopefully what occurred will lead to
correcting these problems in states like Florida
so that people who choose to participate have their
votes counted in future elections.
