my smellvision tells me we get the 50% rate cut, but i cant "smell" if we get "sell on news" or "dont fight the fed" effect, guidance will be important, but i see us edging higher into fed meeting, a 1/2 point cut, an initial bounce, and then the selling knocking us down again, we are also nearing the end of the earnings reporting season, and it will be crucial fed keeps us looking for more rate cuts in the future, all in all, it will be a very tricky week, and good advice would be "when in doubt-stay out" (easier said than done)
