I'm still waiting for a sincere apology, Gonzongo, though I don't imagine I'll ever get it. Others are, too. The overriding, overruling principle in that whole mess on that private mail list of yours was loyalty among a tightknit group of cronies. All other principles were thrown to the wind, as everyone bowed before one man's irrational, all-consuming grudge.
And to think that most of it all stemmed from a trifling disagreement over the Clinton impeachment fiasco. How truly pathetic. Your irate pal wanted Kenny (who helped found the group) removed from the mail list, and he got his way, because none of you had the courage to stand up to him, and do what was right and fair, no matter how many appeals were made by members.
You certainly owe an apology to the others involved. One day, somehow, somewhere, clean the slate. Separate yourself from the clan mentality for one brief moment and deliver the apology you owe people.
Your group can continue to demonize those who stood up for what was right, but what you're left with is nothing but a shell of the old group, nothing but a hate group. |
