Does anyone know if Robert F. Kennedy had any trouble or prolonged period in being confirmed as Attorney General for his brother, John F. Kennedy? Both were Roman Catholic. We had a Democratic Senate and House, I believe, so maybe that is why there was little problem pushing this confirmation through. Did some research tonight online, and couldn't find any problem mentioned at all....He was AG from Jan 1961 to Sept 3, 1964, when he resigned to run for the Senate. Why would/should/does John Ashcroft's religious beliefs have anything to do with being head of the Justice Department, if Robert F. Kennedy's beliefs did not????????
