Take KCA, one people trade on this thread for example. A smal llot trader now has a 5.02/5.04 spread instead of 5/5.05. Their "Cost"has been lowered. For a larger size trader it makes little difference. Smaller increments for the retail trader...are a good thing. Saving .03 on the spread for many people is like free commission. If someone announced free commission trades you'd all be doing cartwheels, not whining.
