If only that were true.... Look at the number of seniors who have hedged their future production and capped their incomes. They are now simply mining to fulfill their contractual obligations not to make money for their shareholders. Any number of things could happen which would put the cat among the pigeons. If one or two major mines suffers a major unforseen production cut there is going to be a lot of demand for proven reserves to make up the shortfall...
