Perhaps.. but if you try to build an anti-missile shield in an attempt to neutralize anything that comes at you.. all you do is cause the other side to build more and more missiles, because I can assure you; they will build more to make certain they overwhelm the system... this causes an increase in global tensions.. unnecessarily I might add.

Your 2nd point.. you're telling me you're willing to spend billions of dollars on a system that MIGHT only have a 33% of succeeding.. or more accurately.. MIGHT only shoot down 1 in 3 missiles if lucky, based on results?

Besides.. any nuclear threat to the US from a rogue country isnt going to be from one of them shooting off a missile at New York.. they wouldnt be so stupid; they'd just pay off a terrorist organization to smuggle the components into the States, fix something up.. put it in a suitcase and then leave it in the middle of a city.. no complex missile shield will stop that
