Dear Stribe:

I said a limited missile defense system. Suitable to stop at most a dozen or so weapons. Any more, and a full nuclear strike is warranted by the dictates of MAD. We already have that option in spades. The missile defense system only needs to stop a few missiles. That would take care of all of the known hotheads, any insane commander in China or Russia, and an accidental launch of one (more is no accident).
