Dear Scumbria:

Your kind has spent hundreds of billions in requiring nuclear plant safety at far smaller probabilities. You are asking me to pay for one half a senior social security check, half of the medical bills right now. A third of those bills goes to those who will live less than a day. All because your Democratic friends could make a system that gives immediate benefits but, all the costs will be bourne by future generations, your children for one. Instead of the 401k type of plan that would work for the future payees (yes there would have been a higher initial cost but, now there would be very little). So your parents got the cake and stuck your children the bill.

I do not think SS will be around to pay my retirement, if changes are not made, so I will not depend on it and I think of SS taxes as money down a rathole. Your children have even less of a chance with the Clinton Gore solution (delay the day of recognition). Any real solution is too painful to contemplate as it would be recognizing that the initial method was a complete disaster and a pure scam. Talk about waste and both SS and the two MCs are the biggest examples.

Pete
