OT: jersy....

No Freudian slips.

Gush and Bore, didn't really think much of either of them.
Both 2nd or 3rd tier possibilities who were just the
best funded or positioned.

On the Repub side I'd rank Ridge, McCain much
higher to name but two better choices.

On the Dem side I'd start w. Bob Kerry former
Senator and Governor of Nebraska.

met Bore in person, and he was even a bigger A-hole than he
came across on tv. Actually think both Gush and Bore were cut from
similar cloth but just pander to different constituencies.

Had Bore won, I'd probably be voting for McCain
or Ridge in '94. Since Gush won, I'll hopefully
have the chance to vote for Kerry.

Though, hope Gush will surprise me. Lott already
said that the Repub's will let McCain/Feingold
come to the floor and stop Repub filibustering....
So who knows...maybe Gush will try to take
credit for something he has previously opposed,
and irrespective of where he campaigned, something
positive will get done for a change

As for the "dichotomy" that is the duality
of "liberal" vs "conservative" ..IMO it's all
artificial and perpetuated by the media
and extremists, since IMO most people in this
country try to moderate betw.
the extremes and thus are "moderates" on many issues.

Heck, in '96 the "conservative" VP candidate Kemp
praised "liberal" democracy.
