We our losing our manufacturing jobs at a rate that alarms me. Are we? The unemployment rate doesn't seem to reflect a severe level of job loss. We have a huge long-term interest in promoting economic development in other countries: the more they develop, the more of our products they will buy. Exporting some jobs is in our long-term interest, especially jobs that, according to strict economic criteria, do not belong in a high-wage environment. Are we going to disagree about something?
