JDN--Surely a black fetus should have every chance of life as a white one, we both agree on that. And if we had universal health care in this country (including good pre-natal care), as exists in every major industrial country in the world outside of the U.S., then that black fetus would have a better chance in the world than he/she has now, believe me... I'm not directing that comment at you, necessarily, but I DO find it ironic that the many (not all, by any means, though) of the pre-life advocates drop their concern for actual children who have been born... Seems quite, uh, contradictory to me...
As for Planned Parenthood--yes, it certainly is a health care facility, but it certainly is not a GOVERNMENT health care facility, believe me. And while there is paranoia in the black community about the CIA's involvement in the crack cocaine epidemic, as you stated, there is no more evidence of that than there is evidence that there is a genocidal government plot to abort black babies. I'm not a mindless advocate of our government--and decades ago the government performed awful experiments on black mental patients, but those days are, thankfully, LONG past over... |
