"WAP Standard Faces Hurdles in Bringing Net to Devices"
Investors Business Daily, Jan 23, 2001. pg A8
Part II

Nielsen says WAP backers don't want to hear about I-mode. (Jakob Nielsen is a partner in the Nielsen Norman Group, a Fremont, Calif., company that analyzes internet ease of use.)

"This is going to get AT&T Wireless major market share " he said. In about three years, AT&T is going to have an Internet phone that works - not perfectly but it will be a superior product."

..... But Nielsen insists that companies that make WAP products are selling both a "user-unfriendly" and "temporary" technology.

Ron Nag, Chief Executive of Cellmania Inc., a Mountain View, Calif., wireless consulting firm says there's a "gap between hype and reality."

and on and on.
