It is very difficult to find a bad restaurant in Paris. I had several good ones in a somewhat out of the way area near my hotel in the Opera district, but none is likely to be so far superior that one could not find its equivalent near one's own lodgings. I didn't have the gumption to spend the biggest bucks, so I skipped famous places like Tour D'Argent. Middle eastern with a French accent is very big in many bistros right now, and I went to several places that were very good. One was a sort of French colonial place, one was run by Greek Jews who had a fabulous marinated lamb, and another was run by Turks who melded Eastern Mediterranean and French beautifully. Again, they were small and obscure, and you can probably find their equivalents throughout the city........
