Puck, GPRS is a symptom of the Euro Socialist Serf mentality. Some of us believe that the efficiencies provided by a relatively freely competing economy will bring the best economic growth and quality of life. Others think it is up to the European govts to take care of there serfs and tell them what to do. Thus the Euro's are spending their resources to purchase unnecessary new spectrum from their govts at huge prices and install an inferior GPRS technology to run on this spectrum.

A strong Europe is in the best interest of the US, but alas, they are hung up, for the most part on taking the low road toward socialism-- loose a few percent of growth every year and in 50 years they will teach the story of Euro's decline at Harvard business school.
