That's why the Fed should lower beyond the expected 50 points. They should lead, not follow. They should surprise the markets, not just give the markets what is expected. When they surprised and lowered earlier this month with an inter-meeting cut, they were already telling everyone that the US economy was heading into trouble. So now let's get on with it and finish the job. Wall Street is expecting at least another 100 point cut by mid-year, so what are we waiting for.
