And although I don't want anyone working in slave labor conditions- the workers I feel most responsible for are US workers. After all, they affect me. They vote. They raise children. I want them taken care of first.

Is it safe to say then, that your position isn't based on concern for the workers in offshore operations, but is based on taking jobs away from Americans?

My position is based on the idea that a business operating in a capitalistic manner is moral and ethical as long as they are not holding a gun to the head of workers...regardless of geographical location. I consider slave labor to be immoral and unethical, but "slave labor" isn't defined by the conditions in the work environment, it is defined by the use of force.

Though it isn't part of the reasoning behind my position on the current topic, I do believe that the economic situations in these countries greatly affect the U.S. and will do so more in the future. The more opportunities that are provided there will provide greater benefits for us in the U.S....IMO
