after following the thread forever i've decided to jump in... what follows is digested from my last aol message board posts

i will be happier when volume eases back under a million shares/day. imo it is important to remember who owns shares and where the shares are owned. the kind of activity in the last weeks attracts shorttimers who climb on momentum and play with large volume for a few teenies or eighths. purchasers below 2 are more likely to be longterm holders.

my favorite day in the last two weeks was Thursday the 22nd when volume was relatively furious with only a 1/8 spread tween high and low. imo a new support level was set and later tested a week later on the 29th when over 3 million shares traded. my guess would be that there will be a lot of sell volume at that days high's and that the stock "has work to do" as it retraces the action on the 28th and 29th that carried it to 3.5.

the news of the 2nd re. 2 plants in E. Ontario, though nice, is probably not what all the recent fuss is about. if those plants maintain 300 tons/day and earn 3.5 million dollars/yr (see recent post by Lionel) the contribution to the bottom line based on 35 million outstanding shares will be .20/share?! but the company has not yet demonstrated that it can produce these kind of results with its existing plants in Brampton and Hamilton. i would not bet that these new plants would contribute those kind of earnings until fiscal '99 at the earliest.

no...somebody is expecting something bigger. those who muse about Japan, or a No. American venture with a big partner...or a miracle announcement about enzymes make TTRIF a speculation but kind of fun while the price rises. i'd be happy to buy more shares at 2-2 1/8, but not 3; wish i'd been home to take advantage of the sell at 3 3/8 and repurchase a 1/2 hour later at a point lower.

Laurel from Bidding on Bay Street believes that the BDO Dunwoody announcement has long term promise toward making TTRIF respectable. His update from Bay $treet Bytes this past a.m. underscores the "no big deal" on 2 plant announcement. how many speculators were hoping for province-wide licensing agreement which would have been a shortterm pop, but possibly a longer term clip of potential revenue? i'm therefore not a bit surprised that the stock was under a little pressure today.

in sum, i look forward to decreasing volatility until there is wind of the next big announcement. the path from here looks positive to me over the long haul with a lot of craziness to be experienced in the short run.

a couple of Qs and requests... what is the projected daily capacity of the hog demonstration facility out West, also what is going to flow to TTRIF's bottom line from Skagit County and when is that anticipated to start. i'd really dig it if somone with the time and knowledge could put a table together with existing and planned plants and when company earnings will be materially affected. also, has TTRIF reaped all it will from the Trooper European venture or will there be further benefits if they move ahead?

best of luck to all
