desperate times, desperate measures...btw, a whole host of software refuses to run under win2k, in spite of claims to the contrary. so it's not just a matter of 'upgrading' to it...depends on what you want to do.

e.g. Steinberg's Cubasis can't be set up combined with w2k and the latest soundblaster card.
