'Comment on HDII's earnings' (a post this afternoon on the Yahoo board) >>>> To those who have kept up with the company's news releases, it is already known we can expect very strong earnings for q2 (ended 12/31/00, to be reported in the next couple of days). HDII investors are aware that earnings for the entire year (fiscal year ends 6/01) will also be very strong, a huge jump from FY00. What may not be quite as apparent - but now appears to be taking shape - is that earnings from the initial round of placement of the Profilor could impact THIS fiscal year. And this impact could be very positive, of course. The company is obviously geared up for distribution, they have plenty of machines awaiting distribution, and their billing system is up and ready. The company has [recently] received distribution approval for the Profilor in Japan. HDII has also begun to get some publicity (the newspaper article of a couple weeks back). In addition, the terms of the new (class B) warrants have a call price ($13.50) MORE THAN DOUBLE the call price [of the] old (class A) warrants ($6.50) suggesting the company fully anticipates the stock to trading at substantially higher levels in the future. The recent insider buying and drop in short sales reinforces this perception as well. All of this suggests that not only will HDII be reporting very strong earnings in the next few days, but their outlook and guidance for an extended period will be exceptionally strong. <<<< messages.yahoo.com
